THE PINE VALLEY SISTERS
Elizabeth L. (Snow) Beckstrom was born in Pine
Valley and has spent most of her life there. She attended elementary
school there but graduated from two years of college at Dixie College. Later
took her bachelor*s
degree from B. Y. U. She taught School for thirty five years, most of the time
in junior high school, but spent the last fourteen years as librarian at Dixie
College.
She married Vere Beckstrom, also a native of Pine Valley. They had two children, a son in Pasadena, California and a daughter who lived in Cedar City. Her Husband died in 1979.
Bess Snow was born and reared in Pine Valley and spent the happiest years of
her life there growing up with her cousins and pals. She was in the last
graduating class there. She graduated from Dixie High School and Dixie College
and was valedictorian both years. She attended Utah State Agriculture College
where she graduated with a B. S. Degree in 1934. She taught school several areas
including Nevada, Springdale, Enterprise and St. George.
These sisters added much to the history of Pine Valley writing several books. They did much to make the history of Pine Valley.
